Here are photo’s I took of the pony’s hooves. They are not the best quality, but it was the best I could do as I was holding the hoof with one hand and taking the photo with the other hand. There is a bit of work to be done here; I am interested to hear what you see when you look at these pictures!

What do you see?
I see essentially nice hooves that are just WAY too long. Take down the heels and shorten the toes a bit and he should be good to go!
ditto…those feet are wayayay too long….
I think he’ll be fine once those hooves are trimmed. They do seem a bit long.
Yes, his hooves are far too long and on hard ground the frogs are nowhere near coming into contact with the ground. I have concerns about the number of ridges in his hoofwalls. There is a particular event line about 2/3’s down from the coronary band where the hoofwall looks almost as if it melted and stretched. The lateral side of his hind feet is reddish, it looks like massive bruises, but it’s hard to see in the photographs. He has worn both hind feet on the inside and I wonder if there is a relation with the bruises on the outside.
